Gambia star sprinter Gina Bass has qualified for the women’s 200m final after finishing among the top eight in the semi-finals at the Commonwealth Games 

Birmingham on Friday.

Bass finished her race with a time of  23:10s. She will compete in the 200m final against an elite lineup of athletes led by Jamaican legend and Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah.
