Gambian sprinter Gina Bass has won a gold medal in the women’s 200m race at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya, Turkey.

Bass impressed with a timing of 22:63 to win the race. She has the 200m at the games previously and was defending her title. 

Her compatriot Wurrie Njadoe finishing fourth place in the women’s 200m finals. 

Bass has now become the most decorated Gambian track and field athlete.
