A 36-year-old man died on Friday in a bushfire in Kiang Wurang. 

Lamin Jammeh, a firewood fetcher, went missing on Friday after leaving home for the forest. 

The family launched a search for him when he failed to return home. 

His badly burned body was found on Saturday metres away from the pile of wood he had gathered. Strangely enough the wood pile was not burned. 

Residents say the huge bushfire came from neighbouring Kiang Kwinella. 

The father of two was buried immediately due to the condition of his body.
