Madi Jobarteh, human rights activist and political commentator, has been arrested at his residence after he complained that police have launched a surveillance on him.

Mr Jobarteh was called for questioning on Friday over unidentified Facebook posts but he told the police that he was sick and wouldn’t make it to the questioning panel.

He said he has not committed no offence that the police should call him for questioning.

Gambiana understands that Mr Jobarteh was picked up this morning from his house.

Police have not made any comment about his arrest.
