The Gambia national team head coach Johnathan McKinstry has announced his 20-man squad for the upcoming international friendly against Kuwait in November.

Captain Omar Colley and winger Abdoulie Sanyang are both back in the fold after missing the October internationals due to injuries, offering a major boost to the Scorpions’ setup.

There is also a maiden call-up for Spanish-born Gambian left-full back Tijan Sohna, who has impressed with his performances in Bulgaria.

However, fans have expressed surprise over the omission of Youssoupha Sanyang, especially after the forward featured twice in the UEFA Champions League shortly following the October FIFA window.
