Momodou Ndow, a Gambian based in United States of America, has asked the National Environment Agency to put a stop to the pervasive dumping of old and battered cars in the streets.

He described the rampant dumping of cars in the nation’s streets as “car mortuary”.

“If the NEA is serious about their job, then they must intervene and stop this pervasive dumping of broken cars anywhere [sic]. The place is littered with cars that will never see daylight again. Practically, all the streets are a morgue for junk cars seated around and collecting dust,” he said.

“I wish we could refine and export dust, but we can’t, so the junkies must go. Next sett settal should focus on cleaning up the [car] ‘mortuary’. How can everyone be so comfortable with the country becoming a big junkyard?,”he said.
