The National Assembly has passed the Public Pension Bill 2022 as the government seeks to reform the pension system.
The bill replaced the colonial-era Pension Act of 1950.

“I believe this will play a positive role in building and the improvement of employees and in particular the pensioners of The Gambia to boost their financial status and fair retirement package,” she said.
