Police say their investigation showed that the late Matar Ceesay was among those with suspected cannabis who escaped into the mangroves along Bond Road in Banjul.

The probe outcome comes days after the 37-year-old man was found dead in the mangroves in Banjul.

“Police probe further established that, it was Matar Ceesay (deceased) and one Njaga whose whereabouts is yet to be established, who ran into the mangroves leaving the vehicle and suspected cannabis behind.
