Goals from Fatou Sonko and Fatou Kanteh in the first half secured a 2-0 victory for the Queen Scorpions against Niger in Niamey.  

Fatou Sonko’s sublime goal gave The Gambia’s Women’s National Team a deserved 1-0 lead over Niger despite playing away from home.  

Fatou Kanteh, who ply her trade in the Spanish top-tier league with Sevilla live up to the expectations with a fine solo individual goal to give the Queen Scorpions a 2-0 lead before halftime.  

Despite, Niger enjoying home support at the Seyni Kountuhe Stadium, the Gambia’s Women’s team keep them at bay to take home a 2-0 victory ahead of the return in Thies Senegal.
