Ghana coach Carlos Queiroz has left the door open to resignation following the Black Stars’ 4-2 defeat to The Gambia in Tuesday’s AFCON 2027 qualifier in Accra.

Carlos Queiroz was asked about his future after Ghana surrendered a two-goal lead to suffer their second consecutive defeat in Group C.

“If my resignation will be the solution for Ghana football, I’d be the first one to resign. But this is a decision I’ll leave for the federation.”

The defeat has increased scrutiny on Queiroz, with Ghana now without a point from their opening two qualifying matches. The Black Stars had previously lost 2-0 to Côte d’Ivoire.

Queiroz’s comments leave the decision over his future with the Ghana Football Association.
