A suspected ram thief was caught in Abuko around 4:00 a.m. after residents intercepted him while in possession of a ram.

The suspect identified himself as Alasana Jarju when questioned by those who apprehended him.

According to reports from the scene, he alleged that he was instructed by another man to bring the ram to him.

“I was told to bring the ram,” he reportedly said during questioning.

Eyewitnesses said he was sweating heavily at the time of his arrest and appeared exhausted. He was dressed in jean trousers and an armless shirt.

The suspect was later held by community members as the matter was being addressed.
