Alpha Robinson who was on Friday dismissed from the position of managing director for National Water and Electricity Company, NAWEC, has been redeployed to the Foreign Service.

Nani Juwara has now replaced him as the company’s acting managing director.

A letter signed by L F. Juwara, Permanent Secretary Office of the Personal Management, said: “I write to inform you of the Executive Decision to redeploy you to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation & Gambians Abroad for subsequent development to the Foreign Service with effect from 10th July, 2020.

“By copy of this letter, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs is hereby instructed to determine your designation and Mission of posting in further consultation with the Executive.”

“Consequently, you are advised to hand over the Office of the Managing Director to Mr Nani Juwara, Deputy Managing Director accordingly, to serve as Acting Managing Director until further notice,” the letter added.

Alpha Robinson has not yet made any statement on his sacking or the redeployment to the Foreign Service.
