Sainabou Mbye’s manslaughter case is set for hearing on Wednesday 3 August at the High Court in Banjul.

Ms Mbye and two men, her brother Cherno Mbye and a family friend Kibili Dambelly, are being charged over the death of baby Muhammad, the child at the centre of Bob Keita’s rape trial.

Ms Mbye is the ex-wife of Bob Keita. She was extradited from Dakar two weeks ago after an outcry over baby Muhammad’s death.

Last week magistrate Omar Sabally of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court transferred the case to the High Court in Banjul.

Ms Mbye and the two men are currently remanded at Mile 2 Prison in Banjul. On Wednesday, they will appear before Justice Ebrima Jaiteh.
