Thieves have broken into a shop in Bundung Borehole and stole thousands of dalasis.

The robbery happened in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Speaking exclusively to Gambiana, the shopkeeper Amadou Diallo, who was in tears as he explained the incident, said the shop is not his own.

“I didn’t sleep in the shop last night, I slept in the room next door. And when I woke up this morning, I found the other door inside the compound was opened.

“When I checked it I found that the shop was broken into and I rushed inside the shop to see if anything was taken. The money I kept in there was all stolen,” the distressed shopkeeper said.

“This is not my money. If it was my money, I can start fresh to replace it. But it’s someone’s money which makes me so worried. They took it all! They took more than 20,000 dalasis,” Diallo added.
