Tujereng produced a dramatic late twist to halt Gunjur Dabanani’s celebrations, scoring a 90+4-minute equaliser to force a 1-1 draw in the semi-final of the West Coast Region Zonal Championship.
Gunjur Dabanani had taken the lead in the 65th minute through Jerreh Camara, who reacted quickest inside the box to stab home after sustained pressure.

The goal came shortly after Tujereng were reduced to 10 men early in the second half, giving Gunjur a numerical advantage they looked poised to capitalise on.
However, Gunjur failed to extend their lead, and the game took a heartbreaking turn for them in stoppage time. Ensa Ceesay inadvertently turned Lamin Bayo’s in-swinging corner into his own net, sparking wild celebrations among Tujereng fans while silencing Gunjur supporters who were moments away from booking a place in the final.
The Organising Commitee postponed the fixture after the 1-1 result. A new date for the resumption of the semi-final is expected to be announced by the tournament organisers.
