Two well known Gambian journalists have died in a tragic road accident while returning from work in rural Gambia.

Pa Modou Faal and Musa Ndow who until their untimely deaths yesterday worked for the Ministry of Health. 

They both are prominent journalists with decades of experience and worked previously for several news organisations including the defunct Daily Observer, Sud FM and The Point newspaper.

The late Faal was also a former executive member of the Gambia Press Union. 

Another person also died in the accident that happened yesterday in the Lower River Region. Police have launched an investigation. 

Their bodies have been transferred from LRR to the mortuary at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in Banjul.

Gambians including journalists have been paying their respect to the deceased journalists heaping praises on them for their respect, hard work and humility.
