Ahmed Gitteh has laid down his administrative plans as he announced his bid for Brikama Area Council top job.

Mr Gitteh, a founding member of the National People’s Party, will take on the embattled Brikama Area Council’s chairman Sheriffo Sonko.

The youth activist turned politician said if he is elected he will turn the governor’s official residence into a recreational facility for kids to generate income for the council.

According to him, this will help generate huge income for the council to develop the region and it will also be a safe space for children to be entertained particularly during festive period.

“I have seen a lot of young people, kids going around for salibo. You see hundreds if not thousands of young people wandering around from one place to another and some of these children will be very happy if we have recreational park where they will go to play,” he said.

“We create huge amusement centre. I was talking about the governor’s residence, so why not we turn that into recreational centre so that children can come there and enjoy themselves. We can have food stores there for the kids.

“We will help build parks. We can have one in Brikama as the city of the region and we can have one in Sukuta and we can have one in Brufut. This can generate income for the council,” he added.
