The changes follow the dismissal of the party’s former National Youth President, Kebba Madi Bojang, and his allies. They had reportedly planned to form a new a political party to challenge Barrow in the upcoming 2026 presidential election.

Other elevated party members include Abdoulie Cham, formerly Public Relations Officer of the National Youth Wing, appointed as Deputy National Campaign Manager; Ramzia Diab, appointed as a Co-opted National Executive Member; Musa B. Susso, appointed as a Co-opted National Executive Member; Omar Biyai, appointed as a Co-opted National Executive Member; Yusupha Jammeh of Tanjeh, appointed as Public Relations Officer of the National Youth Wing; and Lamin Saho, appointed as Deputy Public Relations Officer of the National Youth Wing.

In a statement signed by Seedy S.K. Njie, the party’s deputy spokesman, it was said that the appointments underscore the party’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment, grassroots mobilization, and inclusive national development in preparation for upcoming national engagements.

“On behalf of the National Executive, membership, and supporters, His Excellency President Adama Barrow extends his heartfelt congratulations to all newly appointed officials,” the statement read.

He added that Barrow urges them to discharge their duties with diligence, integrity, and patriotic dedication.
