The Gambia’s President Adama Barrow has revealed he was a maths whiz in his school days.
In a chat with GRTS, he looked back at his boyhood in the tiny village of Mankamang, the hamlet, he said, shaped much of his early life.
He said he excelled in mathematics, often topping his class.
“I was very intelligent during my school days, especially in Maths. I was the best maths student of the school,” he told reporters.
He recalled long hours of study and a keen interest in numbers.
He said his skills in mathematics helped him in problem-solving and planning, even in his later work as a real estate developer.
Growing up in Mankamang wasn’t easy, he admitted. Life in a small village demanded discipline and hard work. But young Barrow said his love for learning kept him focused.
His fans and followers on social media were quick to celebrate the revelation. Many called him a true inspiration for students struggling with their studies.
