President Adama Barrow is currently hosting the opposition leaders at the State House in Banjul for a dialogue to discuss a collective responsibility in preserving the nation, safeguarding the state and securing its resources.
The dialogue comes a week before the country celebrates its 59th years of nationhood.
The attending opposition leaders included Halifa Sallah of PDOIS, Mai Fatty of GMC, Kebba Jallow of PPP, while UDP is represented by the lawmaker Alagie S. Darboe.
Other attendees included Hamat Bah, minister of tourism and leader of the National Reconciliation Party.
