Ebou Mala’s Children Foundation has donated items to schools, vulnerable communities and government institutions including the Gambia Fire and Rescue Services.

Speaking at the given out ceremony held at Talinding South Youth Centre, the  founder of EMCCF Fatou Bah highlighted the humanitarian support they have been rendering to communities, schools and state institutions.

“It was indeed heartwarming for us to see how our initial support was impacting lives of many vulnerable children and families in the area of health and education, and communities that were badly affected by the devastating windstorm that occurred last month,” Ms Bah said.

According to her, their countrywide tour helped them to see so many development gaps to fill and that “a lot of work that needs to be done to complement the government’s effort.”

“We hope to continue our collaboration and work with other NGOs, community leaders to create a friendly learning environment for our children and better equip our hospitals,” she added.

Karamo Ceesay, councilor of Talinding South, thanked the charity for its continuing support to communities especially his ward

“EMCCF since their intervention in the Gambia, they signed a MoU with the ward development community in Talinding South and then we have been receiving several containers from them, these containers are all geared towards helping the government in solving certain needs,” he said.

A volunteer with UK national police convoy, Dennis Nyamanhindi expressed happiness for being part of the humanitarian support to people in The Gambia. 

He said: “I’m glad to be part of the team that is providing this aid, I really appreciate that everything we do in the UK and bring it here has been appreciated in the Gambia and I think there is a need for us to do more.“

Samba Bah who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, thanked the charity organisation for their support. 

“The communities really need your support especially during this hard time of Covid-19,” he said.
