A stakeholders’ engagement on the Citizens’ Budget 2026 has outlined The Gambia’s projected revenue and donor inflows for the upcoming fiscal year.
The session, held at the OIC Conference Center and organised by the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, presented key figures on government revenue and external financing for 2026 in The Gambia.
According to data shared during the engagement, total revenue and grants for 2026 are projected at D50.28 billion.
Of this amount, domestic revenue is expected to contribute D32.20 billion, broken down into D27.01 billion from tax revenue and D5.19 billion from non-tax revenue.
Donor support is projected at D18.08 billion, which includes D14.41 billion in project grants and D3.67 billion in programme grants and budget support.
Officials said the figures reflect both government revenue mobilisation efforts and continued support from development partners.
The presentation highlighted that domestic revenue remains the largest contributor to the national budget, accounting for more than half of total projected inflows.
Participants at the dialogue described the figures as important for understanding fiscal planning and monitoring government spending priorities for the 2026 financial year.
