
Gambia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad, Sering Modou Njie, on Wednesday, 23 July, undertook an official visit to the Kingdom of Morocco at the invitation of his counterpart, Mr. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates.
The visit aimed to further strengthen the historic and friendly relations between the two nations, built on mutual respect, shared values, and a commitment to regional peace, stability, and development.

During the high-level meeting, both delegations conducted a comprehensive review of bilateral cooperation and held constructive discussions on expanding collaboration in key strategic areas, including:
- Diplomatic and political cooperation
- Economic and trade relations
- Education and human resource development
- Defence, security, and migration
The visit reaffirmed both countries’ dedication to advancing a strong and enduring partnership and signaled a renewed chapter in their long-standing cooperation.
Officials from both sides emphasised the importance of continued joint efforts to promote peace, prosperity, and sustainable development across Africa.
