The Gambia Immigration Department (GID) has announced the introduction of a new residence permit fee of D750 for nationals of Nigeria and Guinea-Conakry, following a Ministerial Directive issued on the principle of reciprocity.

According to the GID, the directive takes immediate effect, and all Regional Immigration Commands have been instructed to ensure strict compliance.

The department, under the leadership of Director General Ebrima Mboob, reaffirmed its commitment to delivering efficient immigration services while safeguarding national security.

The move is part of ongoing efforts to align The Gambia’s immigration policies with international standards and maintain balanced bilateral relations.
