Gambians on social media media have been reacting to report of death of a child involved in Bubacarr Keita’s alleged rape case.

Mr Keita has been standing trial for allegedly raping his former wife’s 15-year-old sister in 2019 resulting in a pregnancy.

However, scores of Gambians on social media shared their opinions on the recent report of death of the child as “sad and tragic”.

Some alleged it could be a trap to keep Mr Keita behind bars. 

Police are known to have launch investigation into the child’s death. 

However, Gambiana called the Police spokesman Lamin Njie to ascertain the launch of the investigation but could not be reach on telephone. 

Judge Momodou SM Jallow had ordered a DNA test to establish the male parent of the child.

He then ordered for all possible fathers to be tested including the complainant’s boyfriend at the time Pa Modou Johm.
