The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kanifing General Hospital has denied reports that three people were killed at Sunday’s violent anti-government protest.

“The Kanifing General Hospital Management has learnt with dismay that a Foroya news paper reporter has reported on social media alleging that the CEO – Kebba Manneh said there were 3 deaths among the victims of 3yrs jotna demonstration.”

CEO Kebba Manneh strongly refuted the reports as “false and misleading” and denied speaking to reporters.

“I wish to make it categorically clear that the information reported is totally false and misleading. The CEO has not uttered such information to any media personnel and therefore demand immediate correction by Foroyaa,” Mr Manneh said in a statement released by his office.

“The CEO has engaged Foroyaa authorities to correct the wrong information with immediate effect and apologise to that effect.”

“I wish to cease this opportunity to commend the gallant staff of the Kanifing General Hospital for their steadfastness in effectively and efficiently responding to emergency situation today. Bravo to you all on behalf of the Board and Management for a job well done.”
