Muhammed Manneh, popularly known as “Jahmano,” announced himself in emphatic fashion, delivering one of the most memorable performances of the championship.
The Busumbala Farato Upper Basic School sprinter made history by storming to gold in the 200m U-15, securing the first-ever athletics title for his school. It was a defining moment not just for the athlete, but for an entire community that rallied behind him.

Jahmano’s journey this year reflects remarkable progress. After winning silver in both the 100m and 200m U-15 last year, he returned stronger and more determined, converting that promise into gold on the big stage.
Muhammed also went head-to-head with defending champion Ebrima Camara in the 100m U-15, pushing the race to its limits in a thrilling contest. Though he narrowly missed out on gold, his performance once again proved his consistency at the top level.

From training under the blazing sun to delivering when it matters most, Jahmano showed resilience, growth and composure beyond his years.
Busumbala Farato’s boy, rising from double silver medalist to gold champion, marks a powerful breakthrough and signals the emergence of one of the most exciting young talents in school athletics.
