The Gambia Football Federation First Division champions Medina United have been drawn against Sierra Leonean side Star Sports Academy in the preliminary round of the 2026/27 CAF Champions League.

The Gambian champions will begin their continental campaign away from home, with the first leg scheduled to be played in Sierra Leone between 4th and 6th September.

The return leg will take place between 11th and 13th September, with Medina United expected to host the decisive fixture as they bid to progress to the next round of Africa’s premier club competition.

Having made history by winning the GFF First Division title in their maiden top-flight season, Medina United will now turn their attention to making an impact on the continental stage.
