The Gambian rap world is in meltdown after Attack Gaye dropped a ruthless diss track targeting three rappers, including Myk Jayda, who wasted no time firing back with an explosive reply barely 12 hours later.
Attack, known for his fierce bars, went straight for Jayda’s jugular, calling him a “thief and liar.”
In his lyrics, he mocked Jayda over claims that he was once jailed for stealing, branding him “ungrateful” and saying the country once had to raise funds for his release. Fans were quick to react online, calling Attack’s shots “cold” and “personal.”

But Myk Jayda, one of Gambia’s most lyrical rappers, didn’t let the insult slide. True to his word, he responded in just half a day, and his comeback was equally brutal.
He called Attack a “beggar and liar,” boasting that he outclasses him in every way: lyrically, mentally, and even physically. Jayda also ridiculed Attack’s claim of being “the country’s owner” and alleged that Attack once stole his shoes.
Fans are losing it over the back-and-forth, with both camps claiming victory. The beef has reignited excitement in the Gambian hip-hop scene, which many say had gone quiet in recent months.
Social media is now buzzing with memes, breakdowns, and fan-made reaction videos. Some say it’s just healthy competition; others think it’s getting too personal.
One thing’s for sure, this lyrical war between Myk Jayda and Attack has turned up the heat and brought Gambian rap back into the spotlight.
