Pa Modou Mbowe has confirmed he will contest the May 20 mayoral election for Kanifing Municipality under pro-Jammeh APRC ticket.
Mbowe also unveiled that the group will put up candidates to contest in the upcoming mayoral election in West Coast Region, Upper River Region and Central River Region.
“Yes finally, we have unveiled the wildcat and that is me, Pa Modou Mbowe,” he told Gambiana exclusively.
“We have that intention to contest elections countrywide and we have four candidates for this mayoral election,” he added.
According to him, despite his group does not get a single councillor in Kanifing Municipality that he will be happy to work with councillors from other parties, adding that will justify the will of development of his Pro-Jammeh APRC group.
“We will only work as people know us to have been doing and we have been working for two years with no one paying us and we have been operating a party.
“So, I swear to God if I win Gambians will see developments they have never seen before. The projects are going to be in the interest of the people, they will not be on party basis,” he said.
