Police have arrested 25 people as part of a major crime clampdown in the Greater Banjul Area.

Officers in Banjul, Kanifing and West Coast regions struck as part of Operation Zero Crime – a major drive to tackle crime and drug supply across the country.

The police say 18 suspects were arrested for carrying dangerous weapons including knives. 

Another seven suspects were arrested in the West Coast region with possession of illegal drugs.
