Police have arrested journalist and activist Pa Modou Bojang at his radio station in Brikama while on air covering the 3 Years Jotna protest.

Pa Modou Bojang posted on his Facebook page that he was arrested. “I am arrested for further notice (sic)”, he wrote.

Mr Bojang, who is the owner of Home Digital FM Radio, has been taken into custody and his station ordered close by the police.

No reason has given for his arrest but the incident after a 3 Years Jotna protest turned violent today when protesters clashed with police at Sting Corner. Several protesters have been arrested and others injured during the clash.

The vocal journalist and activist has been accused by critics of being a mouthpiece for the anti-Barrow political group and for stirring up propaganda.
