Following the confirmation of Waa Banjul FC’s relegation from the GFF Second Division, Real de Banjul head coach Ebrima Jatta shared a heartfelt message on social media, reflecting on the broader implications of the club’s downfall.

“It is disheartening to see teams that consistently perform well getting relegated. Team owners, let’s support these players; their livelihoods depend on it.

“Achieving one’s dreams often requires overcoming struggles, but we also need strong motivation to begin and the discipline to remain consistent,” Jatta said. 

His remarks serve as a call to action for team administrators and stakeholders to invest more consistently in player development and welfare, particularly in challenging times like these.
