The Gambia’s Scorpions are targeting a positive result against Ghana on Tuesday as they look to boost their chances of qualifying for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Assistant Coach Abdou Jammeh acknowledged the absence of several key players but insisted the team is relying on those currently available.

“We are here to get a positive result after 90 minutes. Yes, you mentioned players who are important to us, but since they are not here, we are relying on the players currently available.”

The Scorpions will face Ghana in a crucial AFCON 2027 qualifier as they look to build on their 2-1 victory over Somalia.
