The Gambia have produced a stunning comeback in Accra, defeating Ghana 4-2 in their AFCON 2027 qualifier.

The Scorpions fell two goals behind in the first half but showed tremendous character to turn the game around and secure all three points.

Ernest Nuamah and Felix Afena-Gyan put Ghana 2-0 ahead before Muhammed Badamosi pulled one back from the penalty spot.

Captain Omar Colley then restored parity before half-time to make it 2-2. Second-half substitute Ebrima Colley completed the comeback, scoring twice to put The Gambia 4-2 ahead and seal a memorable victory.

The result marks The Gambia’s first win over Ghana since the 3-0 victory over the Black Stars in the 1993 Amílcar Cabral Cup.
