At least sixteen stolen cattle and their thieves have been intercepted by police in Nioro.

Amadou Jallow who spoke to Gambiana explained that: “I’ve just received news by Ousou Leigh from Sarre Ali that 16 stolen cattle from The Gambia are being intercepted with their thieves at Nioro bridge.”

“The cattle are sixteen in number and they and their thieves have been arrested and they are all under the custody of police in Nioro,” he added.

According to him, the cattle are believe to be stolen from a herd.

Police in Nioro have been contacted for comment.
