
A 21-year-old woman, Isatou Fatty, has been stabbed to death in a brazen daylight attack in Brusubi.
Ms Fatty, who worked at Hewal Bureau de Change, was attacked on Saturday morning.
Police said the suspect fled the scene immediately after the incident and remains at large.
Witnesses said the attack occurred in broad daylight near the Medicare area.
Women selling fruits and vegetables nearby reported hearing loud and distressing screams but initially assumed they were coming from the hospital, believing a relative was mourning a death.

Police later confirmed that the screams were linked to the fatal stabbing of Ms Fatty.
In a statement, police said a manhunt has been launched for the suspect and investigations are ongoing, with efforts intensified to identify and arrest the perpetrator.
Ms Fatty’s body has been taken to the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in Banjul, where a post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
The killing has sparked fear and outrage among residents, with many expressing concern over violent crimes.
