Twenty-two Gambian youths held at Mile Two Central Prison will today learn whether they can walk free, after the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court agreed to fast-track their bail hearing.

The case had originally been scheduled for 4 September, but Magistrate Thomas Touray granted a defence request to bring the date forward.

Prosecutors raised no objection.
