Africa’s richest businessman, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President and Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Industries Limited, is set to address delegates attending the Africa Caucus 2026 meeting in The Gambia on Tuesday, 7 July.

According to the State House, Mr Dangote will deliver his address at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Centre (SDKJICC) in Bijilo at the invitation of President Adama Barrow.

Before the event, President Barrow will receive the Nigerian industrialist at the State House in Banjul for a private tête-à-tête, which will be followed by a bilateral meeting.

Dangote, whose business empire spans cement, fertiliser, sugar, oil refining and other key sectors across Africa, is widely regarded as one of the continent’s most influential entrepreneurs.

His participation is expected to bring a strong private-sector perspective to discussions on Africa’s economic growth, investment and regional development.

The Africa Caucus brings together African finance ministers, central bank governors and representatives of international financial institutions to discuss issues affecting the continent’s economic development and to coordinate Africa’s engagement with the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund.
