President Adama Barrow

President Adama Barrow has reshuffled his cabinet in a major overhaul with new ministerial appointments.

Barrow has replaced his information minister Lamin S.I. Jammeh with Dr Ismaila Ceesay while the minister of interior Seyaka Sonko is replaced by Police boss Abdoulie Sanyang. 

Seedy Muctar Touray, current Director General of The Gambia Immigration Department, is appointed Inspector General of The Gambia Police Force.

Ousman Sowe bounced back to his previous role as Director General, State Intelligence Services as Hamat Bah becomes new minister of Lands & Regional Government.

Abdoulie Jobe is now the new minister of Tourism & Culture while Nani Juwara is appointed new Minister of Petroleum and Energy. 

Claudiana A. Cole, Minister of Basic & Secondary Education is relieved of her Cabinet appointment and redeployed to The Gambia Foreign Service.  Ms. Haddy Jatou Sey is appointed Minister of Basic and Secondary Education.

In a similar vein, Barrow appointed Bai Ebrima Mboob as new Director General, Gambia Immigration Department.

He also replaced Mambangick Njie, Special Adviser with Momodou Sabally while Dr. Njogou N. Bah replaced Yusupha Y. Jobe as Director General of Public Utility Regulatory Authority.
