Police in riot gears have been deployed as supporters of the opposition United Democratic Party (UDP) gathered at their leader’s Pipeline residence.

The supporters could be heard saying that  their leader was cheated in Saturday’s presidential election and that they won’t  recognise the election results.

They chanted “Ayeh Jii” (which means let him go down) in defiance.

But party leader Ousainou Darboe who has also rejected the election called for calm and urged his supporters not to take the law into their own hands.

President Adman Barrow secured a second term in office with a landslide election victory.
