The ceremony, taking place at Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Centre, is expected to bring together media professionals, government officials, and civil society leaders to celebrate excellence in journalism and other key sectors of Gambian society.

Renowned Gambian artists Barham Cham and his sister Mariam Cham are set to perform, promising to enthrall the audience with their melodious voices.

Awards are being presented across 15 categories, including Health, Finance, Sports, Culture, Women, Security, Children, Environment, Legal Affairs, Politics, Agriculture, Human Rights, Special Reporting, Migration, and Investigative Journalism.

Each category has three nominees, all recognised for their notable contributions and achievements.

GPU officials said the event not only celebrates a decade of The Edition but also recognises individuals and institutions making a positive impact across various sectors in The Gambia.
