Modou Saidy scored his first goal for BFC Daugavpils in their 2-0 win over FS Jelgava in the Latvian top-tier league but was later sent off for a second bookable offence.

The Gambian youngster, who is on loan from Futbola Klubs RFS, found the breakthrough after a clever one-two with his compatriot Wally Fofana, who set him up perfectly to slot home.

Saidy’s night, however, ended prematurely after he received a second yellow card, but his goal proved vital in sealing the win and three points for Daugavpils.
