Gambian High Commissioner Fatou Bensouda and Deputy High Commissioner Suntou Touray were among guests at Brighton & Hove Albion’s Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, where Gambian winger Yankuba Minteh produced a Man of the Match performance in a 3-0 victory for the Seagulls.

The diplomats attended the match following an invitation from the club to watch the Gambian international in action as Brighton continued their push for European football next season.

Minteh played a decisive role in Brighton’s third goal, starting the attacking move before brilliantly finishing it himself to cap off an impressive display.

After the game, Dr Bensouda met with the young winger and congratulated him on his performance.

Brighton are currently seventh in the Premier League table with 53 points, while Minteh has contributed three goals and four assists in 32 league appearances this season.
