Greenpeace’s flagship campaign vessel has arrived in The Gambia for the first time, marking a historic moment in the country’s engagement with global environmental action.
The ship, operated by Greenpeace, docked at Banjul Port on Thursday after departing from Norway and touring several African countries, including a stop in Senegal.
The landmark visit highlights The Gambia’s growing visibility in international climate advocacy and ocean conservation efforts.

It is expected to engage local stakeholders, civil society groups, and coastal communities, while reinforcing calls for stronger environmental protection and sustainable ocean management in the region.
