Inspector General of Police Seedy Mukhtar Touray has been honoured with the Security Leadership Award at the Fatu Network Heroes Awards held on Saturday night.

The award recognises outstanding leadership, commitment to public safety, security, institutional reform and service to national development.

According to the Gambia Police Force (GPF), Police Adviser Tamsir Jasseh received the award on behalf of IGP Touray and expressed gratitude to Gambians for the trust, confidence and continued support shown to both the Inspector General and the Police Force.

Jasseh said the recognition reflects the collective efforts, sacrifices and dedication of police officers and personnel serving communities across the country.

He also thanked the organisers, Africell and The Fatu Network, for recognising excellence and celebrating individuals and institutions contributing positively to national development and public service.

The award was dedicated to the entire Gambia Police Force in recognition of officers who continue to serve the nation with professionalism, courage and dedication.
