Hawks FC and Fortune FC played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at the Kabekel Football Field in a match filled with drama, goals and late controversy.

The home side made a dream start when Remi Mendy marked his return with a brilliant goal just two minutes into the encounter, giving Hawks FC an early advantage.

Fortune FC responded after the break, with Muhammed Jallow restoring parity in the 52nd minute. However, his day quickly turned sour as he was sent off just ten minutes later after receiving a second yellow card.

Despite being reduced to ten men, Fortune FC showed resilience and took the lead through former Gambia U-20 star Salifu Colley, who found the net with a fine strike to put the visitors ahead.

Hawks FC refused to back down and were rewarded in the 80th minute when Salim Ceesay scored a dramatic equaliser to make it 2-2.

Fortune FC thought they had snatched a late winner in stoppage time, but their goal was controversially ruled out by the referee for a foul on the Hawks goalkeeper.

Despite the draw, Fortune FC remain firmly in the title race, sitting second on the table with 33 points, just one point behind league leaders Gambia Ports Authority.
