A Special Committee of The National Assembly has opened a public hearing into the sale of assets linked to former President Yahya Jammeh.
The investigation follows public protests demanding greater transparency over the disposal of assets seized from the ex-leader, who ruled the country for more than two decades.
Unlike previous inquiries, witnesses are expected to testify without anonymity. The committee has not explained the reason for this change in procedure.
