A man has been arrested for allegedly killing his brother following a bitter dispute over a cow in Sarre Mawde Kunda in Central River Region.

The man identified as Mamadou Bah is  alleged to have killed his elder brother, Musa Bah at the family home. 

“On Tuesday 4th of May Mamadou Bah killed his own biological brother who is Musa Bah by hitting him with a stick around his cheeks he felt down and after he felt he used a knife to stab him to death.

“When Mamadou Bah killed his own biological brother Musa Bah, he ran to Cassamance where he has a wife,” a source said in an audio that has been widely shared on social media. 

The suspect is in custody while the body of the victim has been taken for post-mortem examination.

Police are yet to make a comment on the issue after being contacted by Gambiana.
