Medina United returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion with a commanding 3-1 victory over BST Galaxy FC, delivering a dominant performance to boost their title push.
The breakthrough came as early as the 6th minute when Buba L. Jaiteh produced a brilliant solo effort, surging down the left wing before finishing to give Medina United a dream start.
After maintaining control for much of the contest, the hosts doubled their advantage in the 56th minute through midfield maestro Ebou Sanyang, who unleashed a superb low drive from outside the penalty area. Just 14 minutes later, former Gambia U-20 star Adama Kanteh effectively sealed the win with a powerful, unstoppable strike to make it 3-0.
BST Galaxy FC managed to pull one back in the 74th minute through Malang Badjie, but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation as Medina United comfortably saw out the match.
The victory lifts Medina United to sixth place on the table with 31 points, just three points behind league leaders Gambia Ports Authority, further tightening the race at the top.
